It’s hard to write well if you never read what anyone else has to say. Set aside at least half your ‘blogging time’ to reading other blogs.

Don’t be afraid of being controversial in your writing… you have a strong opinion on one of the ‘taboo’ topics? Speak your mind and watch the comments roll in. Careful though, you’ll need a thick skin to combat the bashing you’re sure to receive when you announce your position.
